What is NAD+?

NAD+ is a coenzyme found naturally occurring in the body. NAD+ is derived from vitamin B3 (niacin). NAD+ provides our body with the fuel it needs to function everyday and is directly responsible for supporting our entire health and wellbeing. NAD+ is essential to our quality of life and directly impacts our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.  Due to stress, illness, poor lifestyle choices and age our NAD levels decline so constant replenishment is needed to remain in optimal mental and physical condition along with slowing down aging.

Why Enteric Coated Capsules?

Enteric coated capsules are capsules that have an acid resistant coating to prevent them from dissolving when they pass through the stomach. These capsules have been scientifically designed to pass through the stomach unaffected and travel to the intestinal tract to be dissolved releasing the contents for maximum absorption. The capsules are activated only when they pass through an alkaline environment -- that is with a pH factor of 5.5 or higher - which is usually when they reach the small intestine.

Most if not all supplement capsules are made of gelatine or a vegetarian gelatine equivalent (typically a form of cellulose). These materials dissolve in the low pH gastric juices in the stomach, which is ineffective for NAD+ as it can not be absorbed through the stomach.
